Police Shuts Down Knoxville '10 For $10' Concert After Band, Crowd Turn On Bouncers
July 13, 2009WBIR-TV, the NBC affiliate in Knoxville, Tennessee, reports that today's (Monday, July 13) "10 For $10" show at the city's Valarium venue — featuring POISON THE WELL, WAR OF AGES, TERROR, MADBALL and THIS IS HELL — was shut down after a fight broke out inside the concert and nearly a dozen people were arrested.
Police say when the club's bouncers tried to intervene, they found the band and crowd had turned on them.
The fight spilled out into the parking lot.
Knoxville Police got the emergency call around 3:30 p.m., and officers arrived to find several people fighting in a large crowd.
Ten people were arrested, on charges including everything from disorderly conduct to inciting a riot.
